Michele Klevens Ritterman, PhD
Syncronicity and Informal HypnosisThe Use of Informal Hypnotic Principles in Therapeutic Work
This workshop, initially given at SHINUI: the Israel Institute for Family Therapy, focuses on Dr. Ritterman's special methods of employing states of mind instead of individual diagnostics in therapy with couples and families.
Attendees are taught to track the family interactions that culminate in symptoms in their members, and to produce therapeutic counter-inductions that employ other members as healer for their intimates.
Dr. Ritterman discusses the symptom as a gift and therapy as a reciprocally dignifying series of cooperative exchanges between clients and therapist. The applications of this approach to larger social problems are addressed as well.
