Michele Klevens Ritterman, PhDPsychologist, Teacher, Consultant
Welcome
As a psychologist, teacher and consultant, I have developed specialized methods that integrate hypnosis with family and individual therapy. My goal is to provide guidance in discovering the stance or trance essential for effectively navigating any situation. I encourage exploration of this website as a valuable resource for workshops, publications, and educational materials.

The Art of Transparency in Psychotherapy The Glasswing Butterfly in Therapy The glasswing butterfly is protected by being transparent. Not by concealing itself, as other insects and animals do, but by being see-through. Today’s world has focused upon how people can conceal themselves and appear in ways that actually hide who they are and how they feel. Revealing fragile, frightening emotions to a therapist requires a level of vulnerability seen as weakness in the world today. Vulnerability is the foundation for compassion and one of our greatest human strengths. But in our world, it must be safeguarded. If a therapist and client are in profound rapport, there is deep trust and reciprocal transparency at the psycho-physiological level…a true seeing and veritable knowing beyond spoken words. Therapists and clients may benefit from incorporating the practice of The Art of Transparency in Psychotherapy.
